It was nice to be at a wedding and know that I didn't have to worry about taking photo's, but there was no way I was going through this experience without capturing at least some of one of my dearest friends' special day.
It was a beautiful, sunny day (VERY rare for us PNW folk these days) at the WithinSodo event space in Seattle, and everything just seemed to fall into place perfectly. It truly was a joint effort from ALL sides for this intimate affair. So many of the bride and groom's friends and family came hours early to set up the space, run errands, decorate, and do whatever was needed to create a rustic space of love for this amazing couple...No complaints, no stress, just lots of excitement and champagne!
This collection is a bit different; more-care free and more of an editorial vibe from a bridesmaid's perspective. Candids speak to my heart, and I hope that all the joy and love I feel when viewing these images from this beautiful day translate to you as well :)
ALL SMILES!! Isn't it contagious?!
The brides closest friends, hanging out and getting ready with her before the wedding
The wedding officiant (and brother to the bride), practicing his speech
It was time for the dress and accessories
Her shoe's were fucking fabulous. Yes, I said it, fucking. Fabulous. Her accessories were classy and simple, and the belt she wore was that of her maid of honor...SO CUTE!
The bride & Bridesmaids ❤️
SIGNING THE DOCUMENTS AND MAKING IT OFFICIAL!
And then came time to party.
Speeches were out of the way (WHEW!! #nailedit), everyone was pleasantly fed and likely revved up with at least a lllllittle bit of liquid courage.
If these aren't the cutest thing you've ever seen then I don't know what to tell you ;)
Who new Grandma had these SWEET MOVES!
Where do I begin to describe this day and this couple?!?!
The hair and makeup. The beard. The venue and decor. And most importantly, the people. You could feel the love permeating through The Temple Theatre. She was radiant. He was adoring. This whole day was truly a lovely slice of life.
The groom, savoring some quiet alone time with his whiskey and his vows before the ceremony
Capturing some little moments of father and son getting ready (or at least attempting to get ready)
Sometimes you rrrrreally just need a little champagne ;)
::The first look ::
Their son was fussy, and they hadn't been allowed to see each other all day. I could tell that this time apart was starting to wear on the both of them a bit.
Those tensions & worries quickly melted away as soon as these lovebirds were able to reunite and hold each other during their first look. They relaxed, took time to savor this beautiful moment in their lives and simply be happy together. It truly was the most endearing thing I have witnessed in a very long time!
UGH!!!! One of my favorites...Love it so much I can't take it!!!
YASSSSS. SURPRISE!! The bride entered the ceremony to Jagged Edge's Let's Get Married!!
I love love LOVED witnessing the spontaneous shows of affection between these two. *sigh*
Congratulations TO THIS BEAUTIFUL COUPLE!!!
